RouteCast is designed to provide route planning, weather, and trip estimates without collecting your personal data. We do not run ads, use third-party analytics, sell personal information, or create user accounts.

Information We Use

RouteCast may use the following information only to provide app features:

• Location: If you grant location permission, RouteCast uses your device location to help fill your starting point and begin route planning from a nearby point.
• Route points: Starting points, destinations, route options, and weather checkpoints are used to calculate route weather and trip estimates.
• Purchase status: StoreKit tells the app whether you have an active premium entitlement.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store on our servers, sell, or share personal data. RouteCast does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, advertising identifiers, precise location history, analytics events, or payment card details.

Location Data

Your location is used only when needed for app functionality, such as choosing a starting point or planning a route. RouteCast does not operate its own server for collecting or storing your location data.

You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings. You can still use the app by entering route points manually.

Local Data Stored on Your Device

RouteCast may save recent routes, app preferences, and vehicle profiles on your device so the app can work more conveniently. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.

You can remove local app data by deleting the app from your device.

Apple Services

RouteCast uses Apple services to provide core functionality:

• Apple Maps and MapKit: Used for maps, place search, and route calculation.
• Apple WeatherKit: Used to retrieve weather information for route checkpoints.
• Apple StoreKit: Used to process premium purchases and subscription status.

When these services are used, Apple may process the information required to provide them, such as route coordinates, map searches, weather locations, or purchase transactions. Apple handles that processing under Apple’s own privacy practices.

Payments

Premium purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card number or billing details. Apple provides the app with purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock premium features.

Data Sharing

We do not share personal data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or marketing platforms. RouteCast only uses Apple services that are necessary for maps, weather, and purchases.

Children’s Privacy

RouteCast is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not operate user accounts or personal data collection, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last updated.
