Privacy Policy
Effective 8 September 2026 · Associations: Connect Words (iOS & Android)
Associations does not ask for your name, your email address or any account you already own. It never reads your contacts, photos, microphone or location. What it keeps is your game progress, and it keeps it under a random identifier that is not linked to you as a person.
1. Who this covers
This policy describes how the mobile game Associations: Connect Words ("the game") handles information. The game is published by Recep Sevim, trading as Meyveli Kahve. Questions go to recepsevimbusiness@gmail.com.
2. What the game collects
| What | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| An anonymous account identifier | So your progress can be restored on a new phone | Firebase Authentication (Google) |
| Game progress — levels solved, stars, hint balance, daily streak, chosen language | To back up and restore your journey | Cloud Firestore (Google) |
| Gameplay events — a level started, completed or abandoned, a hint used, a daily puzzle finished, the store opened, a purchase completed | To understand which levels are too hard and where players stop | Firebase Analytics (Google) |
| Crash and error reports, with device model and OS version | To find and fix crashes | Firebase Crashlytics (Google) |
| Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data | To show ads and pay for the game | Google AdMob — only as described in section 5 |
3. What the game never collects
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Your contacts, calendar, photos, camera, microphone or files
- Your location — neither precise nor approximate
- Payment card details. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google; the game is told only that a purchase succeeded, never how you paid.
- Health, biometric, financial or any other sensitive category of data
4. Your anonymous account
The first time the game runs it creates an anonymous Firebase account. This is a random string of characters. There is no email address, no password and nothing to sign in to — it exists so the game can find your backup again. Your progress is stored in a single document keyed to that identifier, and security rules on the server allow only that account to read or write it.
If you delete and reinstall the game without restoring, a new identifier is created and the old backup becomes unreachable.
5. Advertising
The game shows ads through Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads you choose to watch in exchange for hints. Ads are how a free game pays for itself.
- In the EU, the UK and Switzerland a consent form appears before any ad loads, provided by Google's User Messaging Platform. If you decline personalised ads, you still see ads, but they are chosen without a profile.
- On iOS the system asks separately whether the game may track you across other companies' apps and websites. Declining is fine and costs you nothing in the game. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- You can reopen the consent form from the game at any time: Settings → Ad preferences.
What advertising partners do with the data they receive is governed by their own policies, not this one. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
6. Purchases
Hint packs and ad removal are sold through the App Store and Google Play. Those stores process the payment, hold the payment details and issue receipts. The game receives a confirmation that a specific product was bought, and unlocks it. Restoring purchases asks the store, not us.
7. What stays on your device
Your board state, level history, hint balance, sound and haptics preferences and chosen language are stored locally on your phone in the game's own database. This data is removed when you delete the game, and can be cleared from inside the game with Settings → Reset progress.
8. Who else is involved
The game relies on these providers, and no others:
- Google — Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics and AdMob. Privacy policy
- Apple — App Store purchases and App Tracking Transparency. Privacy policy
Nothing is sold, rented or handed to data brokers. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
9. Children
The game is rated suitable for all ages because it contains nothing objectionable, but it is not directed at children under 13 and is not part of Apple's Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, write to us and we will delete it.
10. How long data is kept
- Your backup is kept for as long as the account exists, so that you can come back to it. Ask us and we will delete it.
- Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months.
- Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live — in particular under the GDPR in the EU and UK, the CCPA in California, and the KVKK in Türkiye — you may ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used.
Because the game holds no name or email address, we cannot look you up. To make a request, open Settings in the game, tap the version number at the bottom to copy your player ID, and send it to recepsevimbusiness@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
You can delete everything yourself at any time: Settings → Reset progress clears the device, and deleting the app removes the rest.
12. Where data is processed
Google's servers are located in several countries, including the United States, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in. Google uses the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to cover those transfers.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it and the new version appears here before it takes effect. Continuing to play after that means the new version applies.
